METALOCK - COLD CASTING REPAIR

Metalock

Metalock process is a mechanical repair procedure used to restore cracked, broken, or damaged metal components without the need for welding. The damaged area is carefully prepared by drilling holes using specialize jigs along the crack, where custom engineered Metalock Keys made from high-strength nickel alloy are installed and tightly peened into place.

These keys mechanically lock the cracked sections together, restoring a high percentage of the component's original strength. Since the process does not involve heat, it eliminates the risk of thermal stress, distortion, or changes to the metal's properties. Metalock process is suitable for repairing cast iron, aluminum, and steel components commonly used in marine, industrial, and heavy equipment applications. It is an effective repair method that minimizes equipment downtime, and can often be performed on-site without dismantling the machinery.
